We’d love to see you at our FREE virtual CPD event, Bupa Learning Lounge – open to all members of the dental team whether you work at Bupa or not!

This online event covers a range of CPD topics (Including some CORE GDC recommend subjects) – and we welcome the entire team dentists, hygienists, therapists, nurses, practice managers, receptionists, and labs.

This free virtual event will take place from 9am until 12.30 pm (UK BST) on Saturday 4th October 2025.

There is nothing to download, although the webinars are best watched on a laptop or computer.

The event is hosted by Bupa Dental Care and you will have the opportunity to hear from a range of guest speakers, all of whom are experts in their respective fields. Following each live webinar you will need to complete a feedback form which will then award your 1 hour CPD per webinar.

With our flexible timetable you can attend three different sessions of your choice and gain three free hours of verifiable CPD. Registration is quick, free, and confidential. Be quick, registration will close at 17:00 03/10/2025

Following registration, a confirmation email will be sent to the email you used to sign up, this will have instructions for the event on the day along with our handy user guide to help you around the site.

The aim of this course is to equip learners with the knowledge and skills essential towards managing patient complaints effectively in dental practice, including enhancing their awareness of why patients complain and the crucial role of the entire dental team in preventing and handling patient complaints.

  • Outline the reasons why patients commonly complain including unmet patient expectations, adverse treatment outcomes, communication breakdowns 
  • Identify the channels through which patients can complain and the procedural differences between the NHS and Private settings 
  • Understand the crucial role of communication in preventing, deescalating and managing complaints effectively.
  • Analyse how the entire dental team can impact the patient journey and how this relates to patient complaints

Assessment of single unit dental implant positioning and the effect on choice of restorative components and outcomes

Dr Loh has extensive implant and restorative experience and education and has seen a distinct lack of in-depth educational programs related to restorative implantology. He has also seen surgical implantology taught distinctly separately to the restorative aspect. He aims to fill in the gaps by providing education in restoratively-driven implant treatment and implant surgical guide design, and link the restorative and surgical aspects together.

This webinar will cover the importance of in depth assessment of single unit dental implant positioning.  It will discuss the effect an adequeate assessment and implant positioning has on choice of restorative components and outcomes and how to mitigate negative outcomes.
